Hi! I am Sarah Blair, OTR/L, and I have been practicing pediatric occupational therapy since 2017. I have worked in clinic and hospital based outpatient centers in Indiana and have specialty experience in burn rehabilitation and infant development. I am especially passionate about helping to facilitate the partnership of infant and parent as a team to work towards positive and connected growth.
After growing up in Virginia, I moved to Indianapolis in 2016. My favorite leisure occupations are pottery, reading, crocheting/knitting, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and 2 good pups.

I utilize a holistic and trauma-informed occupational therapy approach that places a strong emphasis on fostering co-regulatory relationships between parents and children. In prioritizing connection and relationship-building, we create a safe and supportive environment for both individuals. Specifically tailored for children, therapy sessions heavily incorporate play-based interventions, recognizing the importance of play in fostering development. Through individualized play activities, I aim to cultivate resilience and independence, empowering children to navigate challenges and build essential life skills in a joyful and meaningful way. Family involvement is integral, ensuring that therapeutic gains extend beyond the clinic.
Nurture Nook Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and treatment planning for infants, toddlers, and young children. I will focus on addressing challenges related to fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, regulation, play skills, and self-help skills.

Nurture Nook Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and treatment planning for infants, toddlers, and young children. I will focus on addressing challenges related to fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, regulation, play skills, and self-help skills.
Through a family-centered approach, I emphasize the crucial role of the infant-parent bond in fostering a secure attachment, promoting social-emotional well-being, and facilitating optimal developmental outcomes, and I strive to provide support to both parent and child during seasons of newness. My goal is to empower both parents and children on their unique journey, ensuring a strong foundation for lifelong growth and success.
Nurture Nook Therapy offers pediatric occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, developmental screening as well as support for new parents in their new roles.
Ninety-minute in-depth evaluation including parent interview, developmental screening, clinical observation, and discussion. Evaluation sessions conclude with collaborative goal setting and an initial home program. All new clients must complete an evaluation before receiving other services.
This evaluation is ideal for infants, toddlers, and young children who need support in the areas of fine, gross, or visual motor development, sensory integration, hand or upper extremity dysfunction, executive dysfunction, or neurological conditions.
$160
Sixty-minute treatment sessions are designed to provide comprehensive and individualized care for your child. Each session begins with a warm welcome and a brief review of the child's progress, followed by 50 minutes of hands-on, play-based interventions and coaching tailored to address specific goals. The remaining 10 minutes are dedicated to documentation, collaborative goal-setting with parents, and open communication to ensure a holistic and effective therapeutic experience.
An evaluation session is required prior to scheduling an OT treatment session.
$90
This 45-minute session will include general screening of several developmental areas (gross motor, fine motor, communication, and cognition). This service will not be used as a replacement for a formal evaluation but may inform the need for ongoing therapy or recommendations for the next steps.
This service is perfect for families that may have small questions or concerns about their child's development, however, therapies have not been recommended by your provider.
$75
While parent participation is expected and encouraged in all occupational therapy sessions, this service, unique to Nurture Nook, is specifically focused on the powerful bond between infant and caregiver.
As a new (or experienced!) parent, the world of parenthood can be overwhelming, complicated, and confusing. As a new baby, the world in general is overwhelming, complicated, and confusing.
The bond between you and your baby is the foundation for their development. In order to support that bond, we will explore questions like: "How do I calm my baby when I am so overwhelmed myself?" "What am I supposed to do with a baby all day?" "Who am I now that I am a parent?". These sessions will be tailored to your and your baby's specific needs. We will focus on co-regulation, bonding, relationship building, age-appropriate play activities, and any other questions we uncover along the way.
I will hold space for you to experience all of the newness, and provide support, expertise, and compassion through this season of change.
